I have been waiting for a league to play on MTGO since 2005. I spent most of my MTGO time 2002-2005 playing leagues. They were my favorite format by far.
Many things are different now that leagues finally return to Magic Online. They are constructed and they seems to be much more expensive (5 instead of 20 matches, still a high entry fee). That will not stop me. I have no interest in (nor the wallet to play) Standard but now that the Modern league is live I will join it immediatly.
I will be playing RG Tron (of course!) and I will present my league list before the end of the Modern Bible of RG Tron.
You can follow my matches on youtube.com/magicgatheringstrat starting Friday October the 16th.
Will you be playing in the MTGO Modern league? I hope to see you there!

Modern Silverblack League
This is an invitation to come join me and my closest friends (i.e. my YouTube viewers) in a Modern Silverblack League.
What is Modern Silverblack?
Modern Silverblack allows cards printed at the common and uncommon level (black and silver rarity symbols, you see) in Modern-legal sets.
We will be following the official Modern banned list.
What does the League cost?
The League is free. There is no cost.
Can I win anything?
Yes, Cardhoarder is sponsoring us with $50 in price money.
How do I sign up?
You can follow the link below to sign up. You have to do so before October 9th.
The format is really fun. We have done a league with it before and it was very popular.
Feel free to come join us for some Silverblack fun.
Here is a video of my friend Brennon playing Ninja Bear in Silverblack vs Pauper legend Deluxeicoff.

Pillarfield Pauper League
The Pillarfield Pauper League brings a Vintage Super League-style tournament to the Pauper format!
There are four players and a high quality stream with follow-up videos at youtube.com/magicgatheringstrat.
The players
Troy / way2tall
First block: Return to Ravnica
Favorite Pauper Decks: Stompy and Mono-Black Control
Troy began playing Magic much later than the rest of the league, so he is less experienced in Magic than the rest of the group. He is most comfortable playing Mono-Green Stompy, but is looking to broaden his Pauper horizons. While his inexperience is a liability, he is by no means a pushover.
Robert / eldrazilackey
First block: Shards of Alara
Favorite Pauper Decks: Familiar Combo, Mono-Black Control
Robert will play just about anything, but he tends to enjoy decks that are difficult to pilot. He enjoys navigating his way through tricky situations, and playing to his outs against impossible odds. Familiar Combo is possibly the most skill-intensive deck in the format currently, so that is the deck that he runs most often.
Ram / sephirothrr
First block: Onslaught
Favorite Pauper Decks: Burn
Ram has been playing Magic on and off since he was a kid, but he was not any good until Zendikar block. Since then, he claims to be "only mostly bad at magic." When Ram is on top of his game, he is a force to be reckoned with. While the other players understand the majority of Magic's complex interactions, Ram's rules knowledge runs deeper than that of anyone else in the league.
Jordan / sixsmith
First block: Alara Reborn
Favorite Pauper Decks: Kitty / Tron
Jordan is a true student of the game, and his study of formats and timely insight allow him to better play the game. He has a love for all limited formats, especially ones that allow him to play as many colors as possible. Not-so-secretly a blue mage, he is the reason everyone else in the group has MTGO accounts.
