I noticed in Modern lately two decks are gaining popularity. The first is Grixis delver. I'm not a fan of this deck as it seems to always be just ok. I'm never really impressed with it. I suppose it does offer some later game resiliency in large threats like Tasigur but still, I'm not terribly impressed.
One deck that i have been impressed with is a Melira/Anafenza deck. It allows us to assemble an infinite creature combo with Collected Company and Chord of Calling. It's shocking how the deck wins out of nowhere. I played a game last week when an opponent who played first polymorphed a turn 3 Emrakul. I managed to combo on my last turn before he annihilate me into a loss. I'd have survived at 2 life, but I'd have had no permanents, Collected Company for the win!
