MTGO Library 10.65

We released ML Bot 10.65. The update contains many fixes regarding one of the most 'delicate' part of handling the MTGO client: the uninstall / install process.

Uninstall MTGO is sometimes required when MTGO breaks. In these cases you are not able to launch the client (not even manually) and the only way to fix is to reinstall MTGO. This is an easy task for a human but it's complex for a bot because many things can go wrong.
In particular, previous ML Bot versions had problem with non-English operative systems, where the title of the windows can be different from the typical "Application Error" messages that appears in an English-based system.

Mtgo hotfix for broken binder

*UPDATE*  The binder problem seems to be fixed.

WotC just deployed a hotfix to the active trade binder problem. You need to restart your MTGO and the binders should be working fine as usual.

Our team is now doing tests, we'll keep you informed.

Fix your trade binder after the Mtgo Update

We found a way to fix the trade binders after the Mtgo update.

This is a bug preventing everyone (including 'humans') from adding / removing cards to the active trade binder. The binder is basically broken. There is nothing you can do to fix, you have to trash it and create a new one. Below the exact procedure

1) you need to create a new binder, empty
2) you need to make it active
3) you need to erase the old trade binder
4) restart mtgo, let the bot go and handle the client as usual

Bugs in MTGO 93.633

The latest version of MTGO, released by WotC few hours ago, is heavily bugged. We had to rewrite parts of the bot to bypass these bugs and we will be publishing a bot update in few hours.

There could be some errors on your MTGO that do not depend on ML Bot. The most common are:
  • a constant "Loading Magic Online" alert message. If you have so, your account is unable to trade. You need to move MTGO to another pc and / or clone your virtual machine from a working one

  • impossibility to make your cards tradable. This happens on some accounts, and it is not related to the "Loading Magic Online". Not even manually you can make cards tradable

Beside that, the rest of the bot and mtgo is working.

MTGO Library Bot 11.41

Yesterday some ML Bot users had issues with the MTGO login. According to WotC, it is no more allowed to try login every couple of minutes (like the bot does) during the server downtime. Trying the login frequently is considered a violation of the ToS, section 10:
(d) taking actions that impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on Wizards' network infrastructure or that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any of Wizards' websites or other services.”

ML Bot users that had the option "on Wednesday, wait before relog" activated were already ToS-compliant. Some ML Bot users that did not, had their IP banned for 24-hours. Please note that you can circumvent the ban easily by changing your IP address. If you are familiar with software like Tor, or HMA, this should be pretty straightforward. If you don't want to change your IP, or you cannot, then you just have wait some hours for your IP to be automatically unbanned.

We are now in the process of releasing a bot update (11.41) that will respect the downtimes so next Wednesday there will not be problems. In a nutshell, during the downtime the bot will sit idle and will not try the login.

Within ML Bot 11.41 we also implemented:

  • support for TransferCollection.txt files up to 500 lines long (previous support was max 200 lines)
  • fixed a rare bug with the Classified messaged that resulted in empty classified messages
  • a 15%-20% speed up in trades, due to internal code optimization

MTGO Library Bot 11.40

We just released ML Bot 11.40, fixing a login issue introduced after todays MTGO update. Previous bot versions are unable to login on Mtgo, thus you need to update to 11.40.

We forced the update for all the bots from the server, so your bots should already be at version 11.40. If they are not, please update them manually.

MTGO Library Bot 11.36

A couple of hours ago we released ML Bot 11.36, supporting the new set Eldritch Moon (EMN). Prerelease events start tomorrow, Friday.

Please note that previous bot versions are unable to pick Event Tickets while in trade, due to a change with the latest MTGO build (.621). ML Bot 11.36 fixes the issue. We forced the update to 11.36 from the server so you probably already have 11.36 running on your machines.

Happy botting to everyone and happy prerelease events!

MTGO Library Bot 11.24 - update required

Last Wednesday (6th July) Wizards of the Coast updated MTGO and changed a couple of minor internal things. We had to release a bot update (version 11.24) to cope with the changes. Previous bot versions have been disabled and now you cannot use them.

If your bot is experiencing problem, here you are the exact step to follow to restore it:

1. locate the bot folder and erase all the files in the "/log" folder. These are log files the bot created, and probably they filled the whole hard drive. You have to erase them to free some space.
2. empty the Windows Recycle bin to confirm the space
3. download the bot installer from www.mtgolibrary.com . The current version is 11.24. Any version superior to 11.24 is fine. Do not let the bot update by itself, use the installer.
4. install the bot again. Choose as destination folder the folder of the current bot folder. The installer will overwrite all the bot files but not your settings and your price.
5. the bot is now able to work again and can handle the new version of mtgo!
