MTGO Library Bot 11.00

We released ML Bot 11.00 some minutes ago. The new version improves a number of things. Among these:

  • ML Bot has been compiled with Net 4.5.2 to offer a better compatibility with Mtgo.
  • Some weeks ago, WotC updated Mtgo and broke the "blinking" of the submit button in trade. As result, the bot was unable to detect the submit and needed an explicit "done" command in the chat to finalize the trade. We fixed the problem by changing the way the bot detects the submit and now typing "done" is no more necessary.
  • Opening trade with other bots is now faster and more reliable.
  • We fixed some DKA cards with wrong names

MTGO Library 10.94 and 10.95 - Shadows over Innistrad

Yesterday we released ML Bot 10.94, supporting the new set Shadows over Innistrad. Today we released  a minor update (ML Bot 10.95) fixing a problem with the mtgo login - sometimes the bot was unable to detect correctly the loading, causing a restart loop.

The updated pricelist containing SOI cards is already available online. You can get it during the update process or in the installer.  LITE bot users should update the pricelist as well.

Wikiprice has already SOI cards, we are just now fixing some card images problems.

Enjoy!

MTGO Library Bot 10.93

The new Magic Online version, released today, requires a ML Bot client update. We have just released the update (ML Bot 10.93) and stopped the launch of the previous versions. If you run an older version you need to update the bot to 10.93. The bot should automatically update, but you can still download the installer from the Online Control Panel.

Please also note that WotC changed the way the "Submit" button behaves. The button does not blink anymore when the buddies submit the trade, and thus there is no way to recognize the submit action. We will try to read the "Trade Submitted" flash message to recognize the action, even if the message fades in few seconds. For now the bot will only recognize the "done" written in the chat, like the old MTGO v3.

Later today or tomorrow we will also release another update, supporting the new set, SOI.

MTGO Library Bot 10.83

We have just released ML Bot 10.83. The new version improves many aspects of the bot, including:

  • card transfer mode is more now reliable. The bot had some problems in opening a trade, especially on slow machines, and this resulted in many failed attempts to open trade
  • we fixed a problem with the trade final confirm window, where the bot was unable to click the confirm button again if the "first click" on the button was not received by MTGO
  • we fixed a problem with the launch of MTGO, when the bot receives trade requests within the first seconds, when MTGO is not fully loaded
Please note that the last bot release was 10.80. This is version 10.83, version 10.81 and 10.82 have not being released to the public, we just kept them in our internal development.

MTGO Library Bot 10.79

We released ML Bot 10.79.  The update contains some minor bug fixes. In particular we removed the "Theme Deck" / "Draft Pack" / "Intro Pack" / "Tournament Pack" (and similar) booster items from the Trading board messages. In a nuthshell, when you specify #BOO# in the trading messages, the bot will not replace the keyword with a Theme Deck or with a Draft Pack (or a Intro Pack or a Tournament Pack).

MTGO Library Bot 10.72

We have just released ML Bot 10.72. Recently we released 10.71 and 10.71.
These versions contains a number of small and big improvements, among them:

  • the trading messages are now simplified and allow a smoother checkout process. The order of the messages is slighly different if you have the auto-buyer on or off
  • fixed a visualization bug with "Spike Protection". Previous version displayed cards as "spike protected" even if they were not (false positive)
  • the autotransfer timer (the "waiting time" between two consecutive autotransfers) has been slightly increased: from 45 seconds to 60 seconds.
  • fixed a problem happening on some Win 10 computers blocking the bot at the final confirm window
Installer of version 10.70 was broken. If you want to install ML Bot using the installer, please download the installer 10.72 from the Online Control Panel.

MTGO Library Bot 10.61

We have just released ML Bot version 10.61. The update fixes a MTGO crash that the bot was unable to handle and also a problem with the trading interface - when the name of the customer was longer than 20 characters, the bot could not set the 'List View' properly.

MTGO Library Bot 10.60

With ML Bot 10.60 we fixed a couple of mtgo crashes that the bot was unable to handle. When these crashes appear, older ML Bots stucked till a full mtgo restart, usually some hours later. This resulted in large inactivity periods.

We also fixed a problem with the version updater and with the Wednesday Mtgo update.

MTGO Library Bot 10.55

Today we released ML Bot 10.54, with the Spike Protection tool http://mtgolibrary.blogspot.it/2015/11/spike-protection-tool.html

There was a crash happening on some LITE bots - we have just fixed it and released the update.

MTGO Library Bot 10.36

Last Wednesday WotC released a MTGO update that limits the size of the binders to 50'000 cards, including the active trade binder. The result was that we had to recode some parts of the bot to make it handle the limit.  http://mtgolibrary.blogspot.com/2015/09/mtgo-library-bot-1031.html

Because of that we had some problems with wikiprice. Bots with large collections appeared as selling certain cards even if the cards were not there. We recoded the way the bots communicate with wikiprice and fixed the problem today with ML Bot 10.36.

MTGO Library Bot 10.30

We have just released ML Bot 10.30. The new build contains a number of small tunings and tweaks, including better chat messages and a better chat management system. When trading with customers with slow computers, the first chat messages could be lost - the bot actually sends them, but the customer's slow client does not receive it. ML Bot 10.30 performs some extra checks to make sure the customer always receive the messages.

MTGO Library Bot 10.26

ML Bot 10.26 implements a new card removal mode in Buying mode. The current one is to type the card numbers you want to remove (for example: 1 3! 7 to remove card 1, card 3 and card 7). The new one let you type the price of the cards you want to remove. You can remove, for example, cards whose price is greater than 0.5 by typing ">0.5", or remove cards cheaper than 0.01 by typing "<0 .01"
We also slightly changed the quote messages in order to have shorter and clear chat message.

MTGO Library Bot 10.25

ML Bot 10.25 introduces a better control on regular/foil consistency. 10.25 let you specify what the bot will do when a regular price is higher than a foil price.

For sell prices, you can choose to increase the foil (sell) price at the level of the regular price or decrease the regular (sell) price at the level of the foil price.
For buy prices you can choose to increase the foil (buy) price at the level of the regular price or decrease the regular price at the level of the buy price.

MTGO Library Bot 10.15

ML Bot version 10.15 is compatible with Windows 10. Previous versions, in fact, had problems with Windows 10 and the bot was not able to work properly.

Still, given the many problem that Windows 10 is having with virtual machines & unscheduled reboots (read more here: http://mtgolibrary.blogspot.com/2015/08/another-chapter-in-windows-10-saga.html, here: http://mtgolibrary.blogspot.com/2015/08/virtualbox-update.html and here: http://mtgolibrary.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-have-made-mistakes-dont-make-them.html), we DO NOT recommend to upgrade your copy of Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10 yet.

As for anything that can affect your business, we suggest to wait till Windows 10 is stable and mature (at least a couple of months)

MTGO Library Bot 10.12

We released ML Bot 10.12. The update introduces a new card transfer mode: "Transfer entire collection (give cards)". The old mode, "Transfer entire collection (get cards)", is still available.

As for the "refill" and "balance" modes, the "give" mode is used to donate cards to another bot, while the "get" mode is used to take cards from another bot.

You can use the new transfer mode in the bot client GUI or in the file TransferCollection.txt, dropping a line like this:

Open trades with botA from 2am to 1am on every day Transfer entire collection (give cards)

MTGO Library Bot 10.08

It's summer but the mtgolibrary team is at work and is preparing some new tools you will see right after August. In particular with ML Bot 10.08 we are preparing the field to move the "Prices & Margin" tool on the Online Control Panel. This will happen on September and will have several practical benefits:

  • you will be able to adjust the prices and the margins for many bots at the same time. The current implementation forces you to copy and paste the settings for each bot
  •  you will be able to change the setting without stopping and restarting the bot - updates will be delivered and will take effect immediately
  • there will be a finer grain control over rarities and prices, allowing to better follow the market
  • the controls will be on a webpage - the layout will be clearer and easier to use than the current one on the bot client
The current settings will be copied online (they are already copied online indeed) so you will not have to type them twice.

ML Bot 10.08 fixes also:
  • an overbuying problem happening when using shared inventories
  • a program crash rarely happening when downloading profit protection from the server
  • a problem causing the bot to be unable to pause/unpause by pressing CTRL+C
We hope you are enjoying the summer and return back from holidays fully recharged :-)

Coming soon: automatically checked "Use PersonalPrices.txt"

Next week we will release a bot update that automatically enables the checkbox "Use PersonalPrices.txt". We enabled it by default because this was a worthless setting and a frequent source of confusion and errors.

If you don't want to use PersonalPrices.txt to customize the prices just make sure there are no such files in the "\prices" folder. If you don't remember where you installed the bot, you can quickly access the folder "\prices" by clicking on the button "Prices Folder" on the bottom-right corner of the bot client GUI.

MTGO Library Bot 10.01 - Magic Origins

We have just released ML Bot 10.01, supporting the new set Magic Origins (ORI). The pricelist is available online for download and during the installation process, as well in the installer.

Lite bots should update their pricelist as well otherwise the bot will not be able to recognize the ORI cards.

MTGO Library Bot 9.91

We released a couple of updates in close succession in the last few days. These updates include minor fixes but we thought it was necessary to release them immediately because they improve the stability of the client.

Most notably we fixed a problem with reading the commands from the chat, a MTGO crash at the login screen, a problem with the classified messages resulting in posted selling prices instead of buying price (and viceversa: buying prices posted, instead of selling prices) and a problem in loading the collection.

As you can see, these are small and "not core" issues but we preferred to release them immediately instead of waiting the next big update.

MTGO Library Bot 9.87

We have just released ML Bot 9.87, fixing a couple of minor issues with previous versions. In particular, we fixed a bug that caused some restarts of MTGO when this was not necessary. There were two different reasons for restarts, we fixed both.
