Upcoming MTGO Library Improvements

I am excited to annouce MTGO Library will be making some major improvements in the upcoming months.  As I mentioned in a prior article, there will be a new price updater that will be launched in October. In the image below you see a work-in-progress preview, so don't take it as final.

In November there will be improvements to MTGO Wikiprice with increased search speeds, the grouping of reprinted cards into one search page (In other words, if want Tarmogoyf, you don't have to search 3 different sets), and possibly a universal credit system for all ML bots to share credits.

After Christmas / January 2017, a Webshop for Wikiprice will be launched.  The new Webshop will allow customers to purchase from any bot using paypal or credit card.  And then grab the cards on single bots, or on a wikiprice collector bot (so one trade).  The goal is to make Mtgo Wikiprice a better place to shop.

New Pricing System Coming Soon

Mtgo Library is currently working on a major improvement to the background price updater that will be released in October.  It is a total rewrite of the current one with a more advanced algorithm. The new pricing system will be dynamic and will allow the bot to follow the market immediately with two extra controls based on current sales and inventory stock.  As always, Mtgo Library continues to make investments to keep their bots on the cutting-edge.

More details to come!

ML Bot 11.13 brings Eternal Masters!

We have just released ML Bot 11.13, supporting Eternal Masters (EMA). To trade EMA cards, you have to update the bot client to 11.13 and to download an uptodate pricelist ("CardsMTGO.txt") containing the EMA cards. As usual the pricelist is available for free during the update process and in the bot client installer. LITE bots should update as well.

Enjoy the events and the new set, it is gonna be big!

New record for wikiprice: 50'000 pageviews in a day

Yesterday wikiprice reached more than 50'000 page views. Shadows over Innistrad helped a lot, but this is our best record so far.

Thank you all for making wikiprice so good and such a valuable resource for the community. We will work hard to make it better and better.

ML Bot is now "Free for non-commercial use"

Since 2007, ML Bot has been a paid bot: you could either purchase a license or pay the rental fee of 2.5%.  We are happy to announce that today we make a big shift: we decided to make ML Bot "free for non commercial use".

What does it mean? It means that if you  use the bot on a small scale (for example to sell your leftover draft cards) you will not pay to use the bot. If your trading will be low enough and do not exceed 5 tixs in rental fees in 30 days, the fees will be zeroed automatically. This amounts, more or less, to the buying and selling of 200 tix worth of cards in a month. At the end of the month our servers will cancel the rental fees automatically and start you back from zero. You will be notified via email when this happens.

The core idea is that if you are just using the bot as a little shop to resell few cards or sell your draft leftovers, you pay nothing. We give you the client, the server, and wikiprice - for free.
If you are a little shop the extra 2.5% margin can give you more freedom, you can try different strategies like squeezing your margins to get more traffic or using higher margins to buy new hardware or inventory. A whole new world of possibility awaits, enjoy!

Extended sell & buy price consistency

Yesterday we updated the server to handle the Sell (and Buy) price consistency "over" the maximum protection values of 100%. You can now choose 110% and 105% . What does this mean?

Setting a value higher than 100% (for example 105% or 110%) results in trades with a profit. Please note that if your protection percentage is set too high for too long you risk not selling the card, and therefore not re-buying it at the market value. This may result in a lower than normal inventory rotation and an overall loss in profits. Remember that some cards fall in price and if you don't keep up with the market you may be holding onto the card for too long.

Control Panel v4 - Personal Price List - Bot Manual

In this section you will find the ability to update your prices on the fly and query your collection from any web browser.

A: Upload a new personal price list:

Prepare a price file on your computer and upload it to one, or all of your bots quickly and easily.

Once you prepare your pricing file, locate it on your computer and deliver to one or all of your bots.
Please note that the price file must be in a specific format. (See Below)

This is a sample of a price file. Each row is semi-colon separated and consists of a card name, its set, and the prices and quantities you want to use for it.

Here’s a closer look at a row.

A: Set
B: Card Name
C: Regular Sell Price
D: Foil Sell Price
E: Regular Buy Price
F: Foil Buy Price
G: Max Regular Buy Quantity
            H: Max Foil Buy Quantity

B: Create a personal price list:

Instead of creating a price file on your computer for upload, you can also fill out this form to accomplish the same goal.

A: Card row containing the card name, buy/sell price for regular and foils and also the desired quantities.

B: Add Card Price: This button will create a new blank row. Note that the card name auto-populates as you type with all the cards available on Magic Online.

C: Save Draft: Didn’t finish filling in all the information you wanted? You can save your copy and return to it later or tomorrow. The browser does not require to remain open. You can also navigate to this page on another computer to continue working on your prices.

D: Deliver Price List: When you’re done and ready, this button will deliver your prices to the bot(s) that you have checked above.

E: Reset Draft: Clears all fields, removes all rows.

F: Del: Delete this row. This cannot be undone.
