Beta testing results and ML Bot v4 Open Beta

Hello Botters,

with the spotlight over and the chaotic Beta client at rest for now, we can go back to our normal bot business. We had a few ML bots running and we strenuously tested them over the last 48 hours and overall we are pretty happy with the functionality of the bot.

This is post is to present you what we found about MTGO v4 and ML Bot v4 and where we are headed. For those who don't know, v4 will be released on July (here: http://community.wizards.com/content/blog/4083351 ).

First of all, the bot and surprisingly the beta client were very stable and we reported no unexpected crashes, there were a few minor issues and speed needs to improve, but these are easy fixes. This was our first serious test with v4 and we are happy to say that ML was excellent - we could even release it today and everyone will have a stable and efficient bot. ML Bot for v4 has the same functionalities of v3, with a very similar user interface. You will get used in no time.

Our goal for the next 2 months is to further develop the bot and have an updated, easy to use and fully functional v4 bot by July 1, 2014, this is when we will start open beta testing. The Beta client will go live on Mtgo mid July, not only will we be ready but we will have the best bot, with the best feature to the open public that follows the guidelines of WOTC.

Get excited, new great things are coming to ML Bot soon.

Happy Botting,
Jason - Teamstoge

  1. keep up the good work, I am looking forward to seeing this new system in action. As always quality products coming out of the shop at MLBOT HQs. Thanks for all you do for us!

  2. I for one will not use the V4 Beta Client, its complete trash and is so buggy that it is almost doomed to never work properly. The V3 Client is superior and I cant assume botting will be to much fun with the beta. I guess time will tell

    1. I respectfully disagree Phillip, this new V4 from MLBOT is the best thing possible for us everyday botter like me. When I was using the beta for the spotlight, I only saw approximately 300 bots online.... which is a far cry from the normal 2000 bots... What this means for us botters is that we will have less competition and more trades which = more money in over all transactions. There will be a mad rush of people trying to adapt for this new Beta Client being forced on us, and those that are prepared like MLBOT and their V4 Bot will benefit greatly from having a working system already in place with all the bugs worked out already. Sign me up for this V4 Bot Guys.. I'm ready to make money:) Also its good to note that all NEW botter are going to have a easier time getting into the botting scene with such a lack of competition, so it encourages growth within the market. Basically a reset button for the market which is just what us newer botter are looking for, a fresh start:) Thanks MLBOT and I will be ready when the Beta Goes Live!.

    2. Phillip, what good will the V3 client be if you can't use it? V4 will be the only game in town while everyone struggles to adapt, which could take months. During that time V4 users will rack in the profits.

  4. once v4 is forced, mtgo library is on v4 which is where most bots are ran from, So you wont have 100-300 bots competing with you. Will be the usual thousands. Id say (well) over half of the trades with bots are within the top 50 botchains. Those will be always online, V3+V4 or V4 only.

    1. I do not think your looking at this the right way Bruno. I am saying that those that are not on the Beta Client using the Beta Bot from MLBOT will be way behind. So when its time to launch the system for use users because the beta client is going live, then all of us botters are going to better off due to the lack of non MLBOT users not being ready for the switch. Also Trust me many will not be online during the first 2-3 months because, with every transition the market loses about 25% of all bot right off the top due to lack of supervision of the bots themselves. People are lazy and when you make people work.... all of a sudden POOF they vanish. by the end of the year we should see a marked increase in botters again, however this will not even be as many as there are now in the system. So get ready for making some nice trades come time for the beta:) I am going to be the first one in line to sign up to get this new Beta V4 Bot because I want to stay competitive in the market and use a program that I have felt comfortable using for the past couple of years! I know we will lose some people in the transfer.. but really, this is a perfect opportunity for the new botters to get a foothold in the market. So if you are one of the people looking to start a business.. this is the time to start...Plus this system is, by far, the most cost effective way to sustain your in game habits. Especially if your someone like myself who like to play a lot, this system has been paying for me to play for the past 2 years. Anyways Good luck to you all and Happy botting:)

  5. @Lazaro: I am not sure. When we moved from v2 to v3, the number of bots online decreased by half. Many small bot manifacturers simply don't have / cannot build a bot for the new version

  6. Yeah but when you look at mtgotraders/carbot/etc, goatboats and the top mtgolibrary chains, those are ready for (if not already running) v4
